Haloa japonica is a marine mollusk with a thin, fragile shell. The Japanese Bubble Snail is herbivorous, Feeds mainly on diatoms.

Schistosomiasis, also known as bilharzia, is a disease caused by parasitic Worms which live on this bubble snail.
