Lamprohaminoea (Genus) lives in warm or temperate seas.They have a bubble shaped shell.Therefore it is called bubble snail.Bubble snails live in sandy or muddy bottom.All Haminoeidae snails are herbivorous. Species feed on a various kinds of green algae.

Lamprohaminoea ovalis has a strongly inflated transparent shell.The body colour is translucent, green, orange or purple spotted.Younger animals are often darker such as adults.

Lamprohaminoea ovalis feeds on blue-green algae Lyngbya.Lyngbya is a genus of cyanobacteria.

It occurs at depths of 1 to 12 m.
