Philine orca is one of the smallest species Genus Philine.These Philine headshield slug is not translucent white in colour.P.orca have a have an internal shell such as all headshield slugs . The characteristic colour pattern of black patches on a white background is similar to the colours of the Orca whale and refers for the name "orca".

This sea slug has a wide distribution throughout the Indo-Pacific.

Philinidae headshield slugs are nocturnal and prey carnivores.
