Virididentula dentata (Lamouroux, 1816)

Virididentula dentata, commonly known as Dentate moss animal,forms bushy tyffs. This species is widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific.The colour vary from pale grayish or greenish to deep blue.It can be found hanging down from vertical walls in shallow rocky reef.Its a filterfeeder and feeds on small planktonic organisms.

Preyed on by Tambja verconis (nudibranch).
