Centroberyx spinosus (Gilchrist, 1903)

Centroberyx spinosus, commonly known as the short alfonsino, is a species of ray-finned fish. It is found in South Africa. Its head and body are reddish. It grows to 20 cm. The short alfonsio inhabit reefs and rocky bottoms. Diet : small invertebrates and zooplankton. Centroberyx spinosus is a deep-water species.
