Limenandra barnosii is characterized by its pinkish papillate rhinophores, the pinkish purple ovals on the translucent notum which are surrounded by bright yellow areas forming broad yellow bands to the edge of the translucent foot. The pinkish-grey cerata are smooth and curved with dark pink at the tips.
The neon nudibranch is a nocturnal species. Feeds on the nocturnal anemone Alicia sansibarensis in sand and rubble from the shallows to the depths.
