Calappa sulcata Rathbun, 1898

Calappa are called "shame crabs" because they "hide" behind their chelae. These are special constructions of evolution to crack snail shells. They feed on carrion either and don't touch corals or live fish.

Calappa sulcata similar to The Flame Box Crab (Clappa flammea), but the flame box crab has irregular markings or lines on its carapace.
