Hypoplectrodes wilsoni is a pinkish-brown to brownish-orange seaperch with six indistinct brown bands along the side, indistinct diagonal brown bands on the head behind and in front of the eyes, and faint spotting in some individuals.
Endemic to south-western Australia, from Lucky Bay to Rottnest Island, Western Australia. Inhabits inshore rocky reefs, usually sheltering in caves and under ledges.
