Limneria prolongata (P. P. Carpenter, 1864)

Velutinidae are a family of exclusively marine gastropods found almost worldwide in warm, temperate, and cold seas. They feed on sea squirts.

Limneria is a genus of very small snails. The genus contains only three species:

Limneria insculpta Odhner, 1913
Limneria prolongata (Carpenter, 1864)
Limneria undata (T.Brown, 1839)[1]

Feeds on compound tunicates.

Similar to the spiral velvet snail (Velutina velutina).
