Goniodoridella unidonta Paz-Sedano, Ekimova, Smirnoff, Gosliner & Pola, 2023
Previously called Goniodoridella savignyi, this species was recently split into several externally almost identical (“cryptic”) species. The authors suspect that an external difference is that the posterior processes are almost triangular and significantly wider at the base.
Goniodoridella unidonta are known from the Marshall Islands from two specimens found in Enewetak Atoll and another in Kwajalein. The Enewetak specimens were found in lagoonal reefs among dead corals at a depth of about 3 meters, and the two found at different times were 3 and 4 mm long.
