Info

Melicerona listeri (J. E. Gray, 1824)

Melicerona listeri is a gastropod snail from the Cypraeidae family, which are colloquially known as porcelain snails due to their smooth, porcelain-like shells. Members of the family have round, smooth shells, usually with a toothed opening. In the living animal, the mantle edge grows over the shell on both sides and forms a line where it meets on the back. Porcelain snails are mainly found in tropical seas and are nocturnal omnivores.
