Info
Lambis truncata ([Lightfoot], 1786)
Lambis truncata is distributed over much of the Indo-West Pacific, but is often divided into two separate subspecies. Lambis truncata truncata occurs in the Indian Ocean, while Lambis truncata sebae (Kiener, 1843) is the form found in the Pacific.
You can tell the difference between the species only by the shell and spines and their arrangement.
Shall graze on algae, also remnant recyclers. However, it is still questionable for us whether Lambis really eat bristle worms. Lambis species should be offered sandy areas in any case.
