Sucks on whales, sharks, turtles, rays, dolphins, ships and sometimes even on divers.

Feeds on skin-parasites and small fishes.

Distribution
Western Atlantic: Massachusetts in USA, Bahamas and northern Gulf of Mexico to northern South America.
