Dendronotus frondosus (Ascanius, 1774)

Dendronotus frondosus is very variable in colour. This nudibranch is white or mottled with yellow, red or brown pigment. There may be up to nine pairs of gills. This nudibranch looks like seaweed or a water plant.

Dendronotus frondosus feeds on a variety of hydrozoon polyps.Juveniles usually feed on Obelia, Halecium and Sertularia.Adults feeds on Tubularia.
