Davidaster rubiginosus (Pourtalès, 1869)

This feather star is a common animal in the Caribbean.

The animal lives in a depth from 1o to 33 (40) meters and offen hides in rock crevices and even in severals sponges.

Colour: The color of the 25cm Long arms ranges from golden or orange via greenish to black, with golden tips on the side branches.

Food: The animal needs a constant uptake of plancton, best left in the wild.
