Ich habe heute mal bei der Fütterung meines Hapalochlaena's einmal getestet wie schlhau das Kerlchen denn nun ist. Dazu habe ich ein Stück Muschelfleisch in ein Marmeladenglas gesteckt und es mit einem, mit einigen Löchern versehenen, Metalldeckel zu geschraubt so dass das Tier die nahrung zwar riechen konnte, aber nicht ohne den deckel auf zu schrauben an die Nahrung kommen konnte. Als ich das Glas ins Becken legte kam der Octopus auch gleich angeschwommen, nachdem er bemerkte, dass er die Nahrung nicht einfach so fressen konnte tastete und zerrte er mal am Glas herum, nach etwa 5 min. hatte er den Tick raus, er schraubte (so gut es halt für ihn ging) das Glas auf und fras das Muschelfleisch im inneren. Dieser Versuch zeigte mir ganz klar wie schlau diese Tiere sind ich hatte irgenwie den Eindruck, dass diese Herausforderung auch dem Octopus zu gefallen schien.

Erfahrene Aquarianer können diese Oktopus Art schon halten jedoch sollte man NIEMALS vergessen, dass diese Art ein tödliches Gift besitzt. Wenn man aber die nötige Vorsicht walten lässt, sind es wunderschöne und auch sehr interessante Aquarien Pfleglinge.
