Husbandry

Acanthozoon

The genus Acanthozoon have small raised papillae on the dorsum and ruffled edges. Their body is elongate and oval. They have smallear-like pseudo-tentacles. Because of their papillaed upper surface, they are easily confused with Thysanozoon flatworms.Flatworms genus Acanthozoon have only a single male copulative organ contrary to Thysanozoon (have two).

Acanthozoon flatworms live in warm tropical marine waters. They are benthic and carnivorous.

The photo was taken on the philippines.
