Anthostella stephensoni Carlgren, 1938

The Column is yellowish with bright violet spots.Anthostella stephensoni has scarlet coloured lines, that are radiate from the mouth.To 48 short yellowish tentacles with usually mauve tips.

The Violet spotted anemone can be found single or in small groups on sandy bottom (1-20 m depht). Anthostella stephensoni feeds on soft corals.

Its endemic to Southern Africa.
