Aegires hapsis Fahey & Gosliner, 2004

This species was described from Horseshoe Cliffs, Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands, It has also been reported from Queensland, Australia and probably has a wider Indo-Pacific distribution.

Like all the Aegiridae its feed on sponges.
