Info

Myurella affinis is a predatory marine snail species from the family Terebridae, the drilling snails.
This very small to medium-sized, elongated cone-shaped snail is a boring predator.
It is not only very widespread, proven to have been introduced with the bilge water of ships, but is also found in very large numbers on various bottom structures.

Myurella affinis has a small poison dart with which it stuns its prey, the marine worms, and then sucks them dry.
