Clavelina robusta is a sessile filter feeder and occurs normaly in dense clusters.The zooids are 2-4 cm and cylindrical. The colour can be black to dark blue to gray, having fluorescent green, yellow, or white rings around both siphons.Clavelina robusta is found, often in large colonies in the Western Pacific,including Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan.
