Info

According to information from the coral supplier Reefermadness, Psammocora columna is very common in the Indo-Pacific, but does not often find its way into the German trade, although it is not really common in the USA either.

Like many LPS corals, it should be kept in a medium light zone (near the bottom) and in clean water with a good current, which should ideally be turbulent.
Never irradiate corals directly!

Similar Species: Psammocora exesa, which has a columnar growth-form, and corallites which are shallower, larger, and have granulated septo-costae.
