Colonies are flat plates with corallites aligned in shallow depressions parallel to the colony margin. Septo-costae neatly alternate and are perpendicular to the colony margin.

Colour: Dark grey, brown or green.

Habitat: Rocky foreshores.

Abundance: Uncommon.
