Janolus flavoanulatus Pola & Gosliner, 2019

Janolus flavoanulatus has recently been described. Etymology The specific name, flavoanulatus refers to the yellow subapical ring of the cerata (from the Latin words flavus, yellow and anulatus, ringed)."

Similar to :
Janolus savinkini which differs by the rhinophores: yellowish with blue tips, and lacks the yellowish ring below the purple ring at the cerata,
Janolus tricellariodes which has opaque white specks on the cerata and rhinophores.

Sea slugs genus Janolus feeds on bryozoans.
