Philinopsis ctenophoraphaga Gosliner, 2011

It has a distinctive colour pattern. The body is translucent maroon to pink with opaque white spots. There is an elevated flap on the posterior end of the headshield. Of the body are ornamented with scattered opaque white spots that are surrounded by a faint halo of lighter pigment.

This species feeding on benthic ctenophores, hence its name " ctenophoraphaga" meaning "ctenophore eating".
