Info

Nectamia zebrina is found in coral reefs, normally the cardinalfish occurs singly or in small groups.
It is a hidden species that lives in reef crevices up to a depth of 10 meters during the day and emerges from the reef at night to feed on zooplankton.

The males of Nectamia zebrina incubate the fertilized eggs with their mouths until they are ready to hatch.
