Info

Unfortunately, we cannot report much about this damselfish at the moment, because the first identification by Chromis monochroma is unfortunately not freely accessible.
We could not find a photo of a living species on the internet, so we can only provide very limited data.

Dr. Randall and Dr. Allen collected the damselfish at a depth of 53 meters near Maumere, Flores, Indonesia, on a steep slope near the coast.

We do not have any information about keeping this species.

The species name “monochroma” refers to the coloration of the holotype and paratype.
