Dardanus gemmatus (H. Milne Edwards, 1848)

Known as Jeweled anemone hermit crab. Eyestalks white with a central red band. This species has granules on the entire surface of the left claw.

Similar in coloration Dardanus pedunculatus.

Hallo zusammen.
Ich möchte meine ersten Erfahrungen mit diesem Tier teilen.
Leider sind diese nicht so schön.
Haben ihn seit etwa 2 Wochen. Mussten leider in diesen 2 Wochen feststellen, dass auf mysteriösen Weise meine Bestand der Fahnenbarsche abnahm, ohne irgendwelche Überreste. Heute sah ich dann, dass mehrere Fische angefressen Flossen hatten, und auch die restlichen Fahnenbarsche, deutliche Spuren aufwiesen. Auch meine grossen Schnecken, nahmen irgendwie rasant ab.
Heute Abend alles dunkel gemacht und Rotlicht an. Siehe da, den Übeltäter auf frischer Tat ertappt.. dieser , doch eigentlich interessanter Krebs, macht sich über meinen Fisch- und Schneckenbestand her.
Ist sehr schade. Vllt auch einfach Pech. Aber er sollte doch mit Vorsicht, in ein Becken gesetzt werden.
