Living colonies of the very small soft coral grow tree-like and reach just 2.7-3.4cm in height, some of them are united at the base and form multi-stemmed colonies .
When looking at the reef picture, it is noticeable that the can show color variations, they have cream or yellow lobes and a gray stalk; the tentacles of the polyps are colorless.
The polyps of the coral are equipped with warty rods and flattened spindles.
So far we have not noticed the soft coral Sclerophytum manaarense in the trade.
The coral was first called Sinularia manaarensis, later it was assigned to the genus Sclerophytum.
Synonym: Sinularia manaarensis Verseveldt, 1980
